DEATH RACE 2000 (1975)

Watched this with best friend Blair when we were in high school and was blown away at how great this movie from the ’70s I’d never heard of was. Why was this biting satire not part of our larger cultural lexicon? How come this movie was relegated to obscurity among my contemporaries, while St. Elmo’s Fire was elevated to must-see status?
